God Comforts A Nation

Charleston, SC has once again become the latest seat of social, political and spiritual unrest. On June 17, 2015 the sacredness of a weekly prayer meeting was marred by a maniacal act of violence and domestic terrorism. Dylann Roof, fatally shot and killed nine members of the historic Mother Emanuel AME Church leaving the community and country reeling in the wake of what is believed to be a hate crime. From political pundits to religious leaders all have offered their voices in an earnest effort to answer why?  America’s history of terror and trauma provides a plausible window into the mind and motive of it’s most recent shooter. Even the pinnacle place of sacredness in Mother Emanuel AME can be the stage for the horrible theft of human life! May God bless and comfort the family, friends and our nation during this time. “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” Isiah 40:8 NIV
